Wednesday 17 Oct, Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, Toronto, 7.30pm
I fly out on Tuesday 16th and, as a preliminary diversion, spend my first evening worshipping Rush in Toronto's Air Canada Centre. Then on Wednesday evening 17th I am contributing a short lecture to the Royal Astronomy Society of Canada's event at the Ontario Science Centre on the Don Mills Road. It starts at 7.30 and promises talks about interesting projects and activities. Details here.

Friday 19 Oct, Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, Montreal, 8pm
On Thursday, I will travel to Montreal and spend that evening comparing the Rush concert at the Bell Centre with the one I saw two days earlier in Toronto. (I know, I know, call me a Rush geek but I've been a fan for more than 30 years.) On Friday 19th, I have been generously invited back by the RASC in Montreal to give a talk at Ste Anne de Bellevue.  Last year they were marvellous hosts.

Sunday 21 Oct, Books and Breakfast, Le Centre, Sheraton Hotel, 10am
On Sunday morning at 10am, Paragraphe Books have invited me for another of their Books and Breakfast events in the Le Centre, Sheraton Hotel. I took part in this unique event last year for The Sky's Dark Labyrinth, and cannot wait to return to promote its sequel.  Details here.

Wednesday 24 Oct, North York Central Library, 7pm
I'll return to Toronto and on Wednesday 24th I will talk in the North York Central Library, 5120 Yonge Street M2N 5N9.

Thursday 25 Oct, International Festival of Authors, Toronto, 8pm
Then I shall be honoured to attend the International Festival of Authors again, but this year as a speaker. On Thursday 25th I shall be reading from The Sensorium of God in the Brigantine Room amongst such illustrious company as Larissa Andrusyshyn, Cory Doctorow, Corey Redekop and (drum roll please) Robert J. Sawyer. Details and tickets can be found here.

Friday 26 Oct, International Festival of Authors, Toronto, 8pm

On Friday, I'll be part of the Charles Taylor prize for literary non-fiction spotlight event, again in The Brigantine Room, with Richard Ford and Andrew Westoll. This is a particularly exciting event for me, as I do so enjoy bringing literary and storytelling ideas to the presentation of factual subjects. Details and tickets can be found here.
