Friday 15th November

The Search for Earth’s Twin Planet

The International Astronomy Show, NAEC Stoneleigh, CV8 2LH

Talk: 3:30pm

One of the oldest, most intriguing questions we have is whether life exists on other worlds. To answer this question astronomers must first find habitable planets around other stars. This talk will recount this exciting quest. It will present its many discoveries, its surprises and its hopes for the future. Finding planets around other stars has genuinely re-written astronomy text books: lava worlds, hurricane planets, seemingly impossible planets – all will be described in this exciting presentation. And all force us to look at our own planet with new eyes.
